Caravan body panels? What years are compatible?

I have an 89 Caravan ES, we also have some hatches and sliders that I want painted and installed. However, I've been "told" that if it's a 90 slider or hatch it will not bolt on the same. Does anyone know if this is true?

I'd rather not repair the rust on the current body parts but rather just paint rust free good ones.

90 and older, then 91-95.

the roof skin is the same from 84-95 perhaps higher.
