That's a nice piece. It needs a Masi head to go under.
John Laing
"The sole condition which is required in order to succeed in centralizing the supreme power in a democratic community, is to love equality, or to get men to believe you love it. Thus the science of despotism, which was once so complex is simplified, and reduced . . . . to a single principle."
-- Alexis de Tocqueville
"One of the methods used by statists to destroy capitalism consists in establishing controls that tie a given industry hand and foot, making it unable to solve its problems, then declaring that freedom has failed and stronger controls are necessary."
--Ayn Rand
"To evolve, you don't need a Constitution. All you need is a legislature and a ballot box . . . . things will evolve as much as you want. All of these changes can come about democratically; you don't need a Constitution to do that and it's not the function of a Constitution to do that."
-- Justice Antonin Scalia
Haha working on it

Pretty...
6 bolt or 8? Check the journals very closely, has it been welded and offset ground to destroke it like the IMSA 2l cranks? I spent way too much converting one of those to fit into a common block

You can tell in the pix it's not a re-ground stocker and I'm guessing a 4340 just from the looks of it as it has the same color and finish as any other aftermarket 4340 crank I typically see (doesn't mean I'm correct, though)
The rod throws (exterior parts) have a nice smooth finish vs. the rough forged surface of the stockers.
Kick-azz setup with a light rod/piston combo and of course.... really good flowing head and manifold combo.

Look like early style snouts to me. Are they around .900" or 1.000" diameter on the snout? They don't look like lightweights to me. Pat's 2.5 was made by Velasco. Knife edged a lot.
Todd
Ill measure them tomarrow and I agree there not light weight versions

Both crankes are the .9 snouts

will that crank work in a tall deck block without goofing around with the seal retainers?
that plus some light strong long rods and forged pistons would scream pretty good.

oh yeah, slap a t3 head on there and rev it so that the valve springs can do the high rpm job that they were designed for.

Just put it on the home scale and it showed 40.4lbs
