    turbo conversion wiring: Dash harness questions

    I've heard that the carb'd dash harness's on l-bodies are the same as the dash harness's on the turbo l-bodies. Is this true?

    If so, then all I have to do is swap the turbo engine harness into my carb'd shelby charger, wire up the fuel pump and I'll be good to go?

    Nevermind, figured it out myself thanks to the wiring diagrams on http://www.oldschoolhotrodder.com.

    For anyone wondering, the dash harnesses are basically the same with the only differences between 83 carb'd dash harnesses and later turbo harnesses is the dash cluster wiring and the lack of fuel pump wiring.

    So when converting a carb'd car to turbo all that is needed is you have to swap the engine harness for a turbo one and add a wire or two for the fuel pump.

    your carbed car didn't have an electric fuel pump?

    I thought all carb'd cars came with a mechanical fuel pump? lol
