    elbow size

    looking into ordering a cast alum 90* elbow to do some work on my log intake. when they say 2" is it id or od.

    Pipe is supposed to be I.d.
    tubing should be o.d.

    Any pipe is to be measured as OD. That's basically the standard.

    Yes exactly. You buy a coupler for a 2.5" OD pipe and the coupler is 2.5" ID to fit over the pipe.

    Measuring pipe OD is an industry standard; every exhaust related vendor I deal with at work refers to all tubing parts as OD unless otherwise mentioned for slip fit purposes.
