Hahahahaha. we were looking at it last night and found a few more snags. Intake. Well it's too close to the radiator I know. But I don't know if a neon one will work or not. He suggested cutting the runners and shortening it up. Bringing the oxygen bottle part closer to the block. Second. The the turbo. The turbine housing is about 1/2 inch from the wiring harness on the firewall. compressor I'm not worried about. Maybe a turbo blanket will solve the heat issue. Or I can get a smaller turbo which I really don't wanna do. I'll get some pictures of it mocked up tonight.

I have a neon intake here in the shop and most of the stuff to do a hybrid. I believe I saw pics of the neon intake on this site or the other one in a l body and it fit....I don't think you're going to get anything in there with room.

I guess its the first gen? I have a DOHC head off of a 98 stratus and the intake matches those ports so I guess it would be a 1st gen?

there's the whole thermostat issue but I think that's true for any of the factory intakes. Let me dig around and see if I can find the thread on that

I found the information on the neon intake. it does fit. the build is using the 2.4L block but intake should end up in roughly the same place. It hit the stratus alternator mount on the 2.4L block. He was able to clearance it to fit.

What are you going to do about the turbine housing and the harness? That looks pretty close.

I may have to route that harness on the other side of that little cubbyhole thing. But yea, it's real close. It will melt it lol.

Next time you're at the yard, look for fords with "glass fibre socks" on their EGR tubes, and grab a couple, then stick your harness through it.

I know exactly what your talking about. I may just reroute that harness into that cowl area. Like cut some notches in it and just make it go back around the turbo. May have to extend that harness.
