    Re: Electronic Boost Controller

here is a new version. The real file is still all in layers so if the knobs dont work I can just lose the knob. Mike sent me the dimensions so this version is to scale but scaled up 2.5 percent so I could work on it easier. Are there any suggestions on the design that anyone has?

These are the first things I have ever made in Gimp.

Knobs are 1/2 in and LED's are standard 5mm ones.

Couldn't the knobs just click for adjustment? Like one click for 1 psi.

I like this idea, a tactile feedback! The only problem I see there is how it would work with a 2, 3 or 4bar map? Maybe if it was used on a 2-bar MAP and set to 20 clicks(psi) it would just be set to "all of it"?

The "click" knob would also have the benefit of somewhat locking in place the setting, making it difficult to bump the knob and change the boost setting...

I like that idea, but not for the knob version. When we go with the integrated face label the buttons and LEDs will be part of the label itself. We were discussing resolution; how much change does a single push of the "+" or "-" button give you? If there were a simple dip switch you could select 2, 3, or 4 BAR MAP, then one push of the button could equate to 1 psi. I like it. Thanks.

As Mike stated, this product will be ready to launch once we have implemented some changes based on our testing and feedback from the list members.

Thanks for everyone's input and keep it coming!

    Sounds French to me.

In all seriousness, I love the idea of a $99 electronic boost controller, and I wish you guys much success! I'd be interested in buying one but I'm still trying to get my van running smoothly before it gets upgraded any further.
