Well don't know what happened. Went to drive to work and was just driving normal. Oil pressure dropped to zero. Pulled over and shut the car off, and got it towed home.

Put a mechanical gauge on it.
The oil sensor is known to go bad with age.
I was reading about the drive shaft for the oil pump breaking and killing main bearings. Is this easy to check for or do I need to drop the motor to get to the pump.
Very likely that the intermediate shaft/ oil pump failure. (Same thing happened to me). Youll need to drop the pan and pull the oil pump at a minimum to check for wear on the gear. After that, pull the timing belt and remove the I shaft, inspect the bearings and shaft. You will likely find the gear worn on both the shaft and the pump.
Timing belt tension is Critical. Id recommend an added idler pulley also. After I did one I never had another issue.
forcedfedmopar is on the right track. Oil pump & shaft are the second things I would check as well. First would be to remove the oil pressure sensor, unplug the harness for the fuel rail and crank the engine over to verify no/little oil flow from where the oil.pressure sensor was.

Well just wanted to come in here and let you guys know what we found. The oil pump shaft broke. So not wanting to deal with this for my first car my dad let me get something else so I got a 09 gt-r, he wanted me to have something that would be a good all year car. Plan to keep the spirit in our old garage and one day I want to build it after college.
Anyone up for the Midlands International Auto Show this coming weekend? January 18-21. Saturday or Sunday would work best for me but I'm open to Friday the 19th also.
I'm interested in going. I have to work on Saturday until 1:00pm, but could meet up at the show by about 1:30. Otherwise, anytime Sunday would work. Snow is predicted for Sunday, but I haven't seen an estimate of how much yet.
I'm game for the show as well on Saturday afternoon.
Trailerboy, sucks to hear about the engine. If you end up wanting to get it back running I'm willing to help out.

Saturdays are still kinda sketchy for me. This Sunday however will be my first day off since Easter.
Boss said plan on working next Saturday so probably won't make the car show.
