Anyone know if their is a lowering kit for an 05 to lower the rear of the PT so it will sit level?
Anyone know if their is a lowering kit for an 05 to lower the rear of the PT so it will sit level?
The eibach kit did a good job for me, had the most rear end drop of kits out there. 2 inches. Ill try and dig out some pics to post for you.
Sounds good. Did the eibach kit level the car out? Did it lower the front end much?
it really did evan the car out, and yes it did drop the front some too. got rid of the huge gap in the back wheel wells.
here are some pics
Thanks for the pics. Do you by chance have a stock pic so I can compare?
How much do you figured the Eibach kit lowered the PT? Do you know the part#?
Thanks again
Part number looks like 2860. Id have to search for pixs. I think i got the springs from tire rack. Its been a few years now since i bought them, so no idea if its is still made or not.
Thanks for the part #. I'll look into it. I gotta fix my power steering issue 1st lol
Did you use the original shocks? If so, did they work fine after?
No, used koni inserts in the front and konis in the rear.
The konis compared to a stock shock or a little shorter to work with the lowered springs?
I'm going to be dropping my PT via some Eibachs I just picked up, and plan on sticking with the stock struts. I know for ride-sake that its going to be a bit rougher since the struts will be compressed that extra 1.6" - 2.0" but I'm fine with that. In addition, I just posted on my PT board asking for pics of a GT lowered with Eibachs (that looked stock, i.e. no GFX or different rims). Glad to see I found those pics here man, can't wait for mine to sit like that!
Tommy, how much were the Koni's, for I never noticed that Koni's were made for the PT's.
I don't remember know, Koni's are never cheap. you can look them up online.
Konis specifically for a PT? Are they stock height or for being lowered?
Thanks
the rear shocks are factory pt fit specific, the fronts are inserts, you basically stick them into the stock strut housing. How pt specific, I don't know, but they work great, and are fully adjustable, as are the rears. Koni's seem to be fine with lowered suspensions.
Thanks for your help Tommy!
