rpm's goes up the oil pressure goes down?

    Hi All
I've never had this happen as the rpm's goes up the oil pressure goes down? at idle it on the stock gauge on my 87 Shelby Lancer it show higher then normal pressure then at speed 2000-3000 rpm it drops to near the bottom of the gauge. Its like the gauge is backwards.
I think I'll start with a new sending unit.
    anyone have any ideas?

I'd say the first step is to confirm correct oil pressure with a mechanical gauge.

I'd be suspecting a faulty sending unit that can hold the pressure at idle but as pressure increases the diaphragm gives way, leaks, and the pressure gauge drops.

It looks like the new sending unit did it. I did an oil change and new sending unit. I took it for a test drive and so far so good
