    Omni weight?

Has anybody officially weighed there GLH in stock trim?
I just got a Gtech Pro/RR as a gift and need to know the cars weight to set it up. All I have to go with is my car's registration which has the weight at 2100 lbs. I think it is kinda low.
    Thanks

    Re: Omni weight?

My 1985 Shelby Charger weighs in at ~2530lbs with me in it and I weigh 146lbs. The GLH is only 100 pounds lighter than the Charger(both are L-bodies) so the Omni GLH should weigh close to 2300 lbs

2400 lbs would be a good number to use.

if its a/c equipped and all the correct parts are there use 2,390.

    non a/c GLH use 2,340.

Mine was 2220 without me in it. No rear carpet or rear seats. No rear bumper. No Ac. And aftermarket wheels.

I think between empty and the first quarter mark. Id say 1/8th of a tank.

    Re: Omni weight?

I'm a portly 230 and mine with a t2 conversion weighed 2600lbs at the track. . Its a no ac car, no rear wiper car. I have to keep it between full and 1/2 because fuel slosh causes the pump to loose its pickup of fuel. But this doesn't matter so much in the 1/4

Best to weight your car with you in it. Many building supply companies will have scales to weigh trucks. I would try that.

    Re: Omni weight?

Just went to a weight station and topped the scale at 2645 lbs with a little more than 1/2 tank of gas and me in it, add 170lbs. Never thought it would be that much! These omni's are heavier than I thought. I will use those number's to set up my Gtech. But believe me I will weight it at a track when I get the chance..........still can't believe it.

Exactly! I don't think the omni is only 50lbs lighter.

That seems awfully light for a Gbody.

The few times I have weighed my Omni it has always been around ~2600lbs with me in it.
