    Control arm bushings, Ram 1500

02 1500 Quad. Originals are shot, with the rubber 'oozing' out the sides at either end... Energy suspension makes a replacement set but they are only inserts where you torch out the rubber and then push in the poly replacement portion and bolt tube vs the OE design where its a bonded one piece steel/rubber/steel bushing.

I have reservations about using the poly because of some very dissapointing results from using the aftermarket replacement control arm bushings on the Shadow (cast arm setup) and subsequently I went to the dealer and got a set of oem bushings to replace those awful POS things sold by the aftermarket. I dont want to make that mistake twice but to get and install new OE type bushings will require a press among other things and buying more tools to use only once isnt really something I want to do.
(There are no shops around here who will just do the pressing out/in portion of the job)
Has anyone here used the energy stuff on their truck ?

Energy suspension makes a high quality part, they are as good or better than stock. Don't compare them to the moog bushing for the 91+ cast arms. I wish Energy Suspension made bushings for my g/f's Jeep libby.

sloppy steering, lots of clunking, movement and noise because the whole arm is flopping around. The components made by ramcoa and resold by every brand as their own whether its moog, raybestos or even the house brands.

Put the bushings in the freezer for 3-4 hours or more to make installing them easier.

    The components made by ramcoa
Yes, they do not fit right.
ALSO, all polyurethane needs to be lubed with the correct polyube.
THEN it works like a bearing. The ES brand bushings for your truck will work good!!
