This car was for sale here on the forum a few months ago. Didn't take long to realize that it had a blown headgasket. It ran fine, but it was on the warm side and there were some bubbles in the coolant. Notice in the pics, the new coolant fan, relay, and the fact that the fan was hotwired to run all the time.
So what better time than now, to swap out the log intake for the newer style 1 piece? Here's a shot of my two sons taking part in the fun.
Apparently this isn't the original engine booo weak rodded 86 motor
Picked up a new "smaller style" starter, because it's written that a mitsu turbo will interfere with the older larger starter.
If you have an automatic car with cruise, you'll need to pick up all 3 cables from an 88+ turbo car, as you can see the ends are different.
Other than some splicing with similar colored wires, the only "new" wiring you will need to run, are the two extra wires from the AIS motor at the throttle body. Simply run two wires into the passenger compartment and feed them to the logic module. In this instance, I also had to swap to a GLHS LM. All the info needed to perform this easy swap can be found at Donovan's Dodge Garage
Almost finished!
