I have a RMVB in my van and lately it seems to "clunk" hard into gear when putting it in gear from park or Reverse?? Any ideas or suggestions?

i have a poly front mount the rest stock
Could be a sticky reg valve causing higher line pressure. Do a pressure check and or drop the pan and look for gunk,

All torqueflite derived trans are kinda prone to that sort of thing in cooler weather. Especially if you do it when they're at high idle still... check your fluid level is good though, it's also a sign it's down a bit.
I cant see the slideshare link... does it already have this in it?

thats a great pic, ANYONE know of what type of gauge i can use for this?
I use a Matco trans pressure gauge. You need one that goes to 400psi or more.

I looked through the pdf but i cant find the thread pitch. it is REALLY tiny. Maybe take one of those plugs out and take it with you when you're sourcing the gauge or any adapter fittings.
Its very very rare for any stock trans to put out anything close to 400 psi line pressure. But, i guess if you have a 200 psi gauge and it IS putting out 400, it might pop. I think most of the tranny gauges i have seen are 0-300.

The ports are 1/16th Pipe taper... A bit of an odd size, same as a nitrous Fogger Nozzle, and is most likely to be found outside of a nitrous dealer at a refrigeration supply or a large industrial supply (think McMaster Carr or Grainger's)
The gauge is nothing special, just be sure to get one with the proper range, too low and you'll break it, too high and you won't be able to read it accurately... 0-200PSI should be good, I don't think you'd see pressure that high, but it give you a good margin of safety for the gauge...
A bit of advice on gauges, get one that is rated for accuracy and for the full sweep of the needle, cheaper(lower quality) gauges won't be rated, or if they are, they will only be their most accurate in the middle third of their sweep. Finally, get a 3-4" dia gauge, bottom mount so you can easily see it and hold it in your hand...

In reverse you can see 300psi or more(hence the clunk). You may want to do the bleed hole, info is on this site.
As for the OP, your going to want a trans gauge anyway as the Line pressure needs to be adjusted, especially if its a TA unit which are known to be set way low from the factory
If you plan to go into the trans more than once in your lifetime.. spend $30-50 bucks getting the sweet mopar reusable gasket ( no more scraping silicone) and getting the pan drilled for a drain plug.
