I have an FM max flow 1 piece intake manifold. Has anyone looked at flow numbers on this manifold? Has anyone used it? Any ideas as to who built these for FM or what the specs are on it.
Thanks
Kim

Mike DeMoss makes a lot of his custom parts, I believe he cuts out the back and drastically shortens the runners and ports them, then welds it back up. I don't know what it flows but it has to be better than the head.
The FM max flow intake looks stock-ish, but will flow more than most 8V heads can...

I don't have access yet to attachments, to post pics.
I did check volume vs an OEM stock 1 piece today.
FM Max Flow 1 piece volume 3378 cc
OEM stock 1 piece volume 2828 cc
These numbers have been averaged and should be correct within 10cc
This is an increase of 19% total volume for the FM Max Flow
Still looking for flow numbers on both the stock unit and the FM version.
Thanks to Simon for letting me use the stock 1 piece.
Nice to be putting the Omni back together and thanks for the comments.

If im picturing it correctly that would be a MAJOR improvement to the 1pc manifold.
To be clear, what im picturing is cut open the backside and basically cut out the runner way down, taking out at least 3" of runners, making all that space now plenum volume. This also gets rid of the really tight radius turn at the runner entry, and probly makes the runner entries not right next to each other anymore.. then port the runners and close up the back again (and better elbow). Basically a stock looking but majorly improved 1pc.
Wish i could see some pics though to see if im right!
I think most people, myself included, host pictures at a separate hosting site like photobucket, and then link to them in the post. If you just copy the link into your post it will be a clickable link, or if you use the IMG button (the mountains one) it will actually display the pic in your post.I don't have access yet to attachments, to post pics.
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
Heres a link to Snapfish with the pics

strange I thought they had a piece that went all the way across the back making it completely flat eliminating the indentation which would add even more volume. Im guessing the intake I seen was further improved on the FM design because I was told it was very similar
edit: and yeah this car runs mid-low 11s @ 130
You did 130 in it?
The intake I thought would have looked something like this...

When I link the photos on Snapfish, everything appears normal, but once I log out of TurboMopar and back in the Snapfish home page comes up looking for sign in authority I tried this a few times but no avail. Ill set up an account with photobucket and try that venue.

The thing i would be worried about is on the ported 1 piece i have (NOT THE MAX FLOW) it looks like they took like 10 mins porting it basically all they did was open up the neck a bit and grind off the casting flash in the runners. I was kind of pissed when i saw that and realized i paid money for something anyone could do
