86 Digital Dash tach not working right

I have an 86 dodge 600 that has a digital dash and the tach doesnt seem to want to work, it did at first but now it just lights up the most bottom light and nothing more, sometimes while driving it I can tap on the dash and get it to light up the correct RPM for a sec then it goes back off.

Can I pull the cluster out and perhaps resoder all the spots on it? Everything else works on the cluster.

I'm interested in hearing more about the fix to these as well. I think I've got an out light or two in my tach. The speedo doesn't work either...

nope, figured someone had a nice write up, but it looks like thats what im going to have to do.
