    Injector pulse signal?

Trying to figure out the correct wire to tap into for the electronic boost controller I picked up. The vacuum lines I understand. But I am not sure which wire is for the injector pulse signal. I looked in my FSM's and am still not positive. This is for an 89 Daytona T-II.

If you need more info let me know.

    Thanks,

    Re: Injector pulse signal?

Its going to be under the hood, not on the diagrams you have listed for the dash/firewall connector you posted in the gallery.

If you have a SBEC, you can use any of the following... pin 13 (LB/BR), pin 14 (YL/WT), pin 15 (TN), pin 16 (WT/DB) off of the SBEC. If you have a Logic modual, you can use any of the following... pin 1-5 (WT) and pin 1-7 (TN) off of the LM itself.

These also apply if you want to attach near the injectors/harness.

Those diagrams were for somebody else

This would be for my SMEC car.

    Re: Injector pulse signal?

I only have so many diagrams available while at work. Well then do this.....

Turn the car to on. Unplug an injector. Use a multimeter. One wire is hot, the other wire should be fluttering near 0volts. That is the wire that is going to have the transistors and such on it in the SMEC. Trace that wire back to the computer connector. Tap off of that wire to use as your PWM Duty Cycle.

    Re: Injector pulse signal?

I have my FSM at home just wasn't sure what signal to use. Sounds like a plan you have there though. Now I get to see if I really did fry my meter

    Re: Injector pulse signal?

Just remember that injectors are pulsed ground signals, so when an injector turns on, it is really just completing a ground path.
