    Chinese casting 782?

    Have a chinese casted 782 with a phoenix looking bird on the front....
    Anyone have words on this, is it worth a ----? Or should I ditch it?
    Maybe should have a pic aye?

    I have never heard anyone say anything good about them, nor have I heard of anyone using them with any success.

    mine was a huge pile of fail.

    On the other hand, people slap them straight on the setup that just killed their stock head..... so who knows.

    I had one, I had ZERO issues with it. it worked just fine on a cuple motors it was on.

    I'd say they are like anything else made in China that doesn't have a brand name behind it...

    The design is usually pretty good, since it was copied from a working unit... The execution on the other hand, well that typically leave something to be desired!

    Just like the rest of the stuff, I'd take it down all the way, check/fix the stuff they didn't bother to do right (chase threads, check for flatness/square), reassemble and you'll probably be OK...

    Yeah, don't lick it or grind it up and feed it to your toddler. Californian lab rats were fed 20lb of powderised casting a day for 15 days and might have got lead poisoning if they hadn't died from chronic constipation.
