89 ES T1 Parts Car
1989 Dodge Spirit 2.5L T1 Turbo -- Parts or fixer upper -- $250 obo
Will not part out, selling as a whole
Car still drives and can be driven locally. However, it shouldn't be driven on the freeway.
Car is stock as far as I know.
Bad:
Engine has a rod knock;
A previous owner has touched up the paint using house paint (lol);
theres a hole in the floor board that leaks fairly well when wet out;
the sun roof has two minor leaks;
one of the pins in the sun roof handle fell apart, we haven't opened since;
front-driver rotor/caliper needs replacing, car still stops, just with alot of noise;
Trans grinds into reverse;
Radio never worked;
parking break never worked;
front-passenger window is out of the track and the motor doesn't move it but it stays up;
Good:
Interior has seen wear and tear but isn't in bad shape.
Engine still pulls strong, but the rod knock is pretty bad.
With the above mentioned, the turbo probably still in good shape.
Trans shifts good ( with the exception of reverse ) (Manual)
The hood / trunk still in decent shape no latching problems.
Rims still in good shape, just need a good cleaning.
This car will see the junk yard soon if not purchased, and I'd hate to see it go to waste, rod knock or not. I enjoy Turbo-Dodges, and would love to see this thing restored. However, our resources are limited, and we can not do it to this car.
I would like to see someone give this car a little lovin'.
