    Lube the caliper pin?

I have searched and didn't find anything so I apologize if this has been answered in previous threads. But what lube do you use on Kelsey Hays single pin calipers. I have new pin bushings in mine and the pin doesn't want to slide against the rubber so I am sure it should be lubed. But I also know most petroleum based lubricants tend to deteriorate rubber. What is recommended? Thanks!

Disc brake lube is what you would use to lube the guide pin/bushing as well as any contact points where the pad backing plate sits on the caliper bracket and also on the back side of the pads where they contact the caliper to reduce vibration and squeal.

Comes in a variety of types, I use Ultra Disc Brake Lube by Permatex

I use a silicone type grease, or any form of rubber grease will work. For metal to metal contact, I use ARP Moly lube, awesome stuff,

I also use this and never have brake issues at all. You can use anti-seize if that is all you have, but it tends to wash out or melt under higher temps.

Yeah usually a high temperature silicone grease is specced, but Ford for one, has a multipurpose dielectric and brake silicone grease. The "brake" grease I have looks identical to the tube of "electrical" grease. So if you've got one or the other hanging around, you can try it in the other application.
