Precision SC6262SP
Billet compressor, and .63ar turbine housing w/internal gate provision. Journal bearing.... and that's fine by me.
I originally seeked out Larry Jolliffe's old SC6152S, but was turned on by a few people who recommended this "upgrade" over the older SC61. Ondonti was one, as were a few others on this board (you know who you are)
With the .82ar on the smaller displacement 1.8 Hondas, they were reaching full boost at a lofty 5,000 rpms, yet they really start moving air in the upper rpms due to their inherit short stroke design (and good flowing heads) 650-700whp is what I found they were making (yeah, I spent some time on the Honda forums)
Talking with good 'ole Larry on the phone a few weeks ago, his SC61 was making boost at 3,500 rpms with the .63ar (either 10psi or it was 15... can't remember) and full boost was seen at 4,400 rpms. 3,700 rpms and power came on in a big "whoosh" as Larry put it. The SC6262 should spool this combo a slight bit sooner... I have only heard one marginal feedback response, and it was with a high powered 8v that didn't notice too much difference with the SC61 to SC62.
And no... not going to try and make a 650whp terror. Baby steps 1st..... but I do wish to turn up the wick sometime down the road once the car is all sorted out.
Enough bench racing from the "Bench Racing Master tm" that has no current TM's running ..... time to enjoy the pix!
