Need to Borrow an '87 Service manual

Anyone in the greater New England area have a 1987 Service Manual (specifically the one for the engine?). I dropped the tranny out of my '87 lebaron and had it rebuilt by cliff. Going home to re-install it, was hoping someone might have a book i can borrow. I'm leaving from boston, so anyone anywhere in CT, MA, and RI would work as i'm driving through it all.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I remember how it came apart for the most part, but the manual would be helpful if i get stuck.

If not i'll see if cliff has one, but i'm sure at this point he has them all memorized...

The chilton or haynes isn't too bad for that. Shouldn't be anything especially funky about an '87 LeBaron. BTW, having the rad fan off is helpful, just a little more elbow room for getting at the top bolts and linkages.

Thanks man....car's been sitting for 2 years so i took a lot of stuff out for replacing...only thing really left in there is the block and head....

i'll take a look at those books. could always pick on up if cliff doesn't have his manuals...or if no one is in the area with a book to spare for a day...

Quick follow up question.

Would an 89 manual work? I cant imagine much changed in the tranny to engine bolt on configuration? Just throwing it out there.

I have the full set of 87 manuals in CT. What exactly are you looking for, tranny info? If it's not a large number of pages (like < 50) I can scan them and send them to you in pdfs.

I really wish crhysler would let us post the whole manual for everyone. They can't be making any money off this stuff any more.

Crhyco's (or Fiat's , lol) lawyers said no I guess. There's a thread around here about it. There is a slight glimmer of hope, but it's not very bright.

thanks for the offer...managed to get it in sans books.

cliff let me pick his brain. it was a ----- to get it in, and nearly lost some limbs, but its back in the car all bolted up.
