Ok, so let me ask you this, willing to spend alot of money? What do you mean "a fun cruiser", so IE, burn the skins off in 4th gear or simply have enough reserve to put a newer muscle car to shame? Do you have a TIII to put in?

i have enough money to do any of the options,
enough to put a newer muscle car to shame
and i could get a great deal from a friend on a TIII and every miscellaneous piece needed to put it all together

    My choice is now clear,

You need one more box, build the crap out of a TIII, lol.

well i don't have that much money yet
it will be a stock bottom end,
fresh built head that has already been welded
bigger injectors, custom cal, FMIC, with a holset
building the crap out of it will come in time

For a fun cruiser I would just do a good 8v head and call it a day.

With as rare as your car is, I would definitely keep in an 8v. I probably wouldnt cut it anywhere for intercooler or anything either.

    Re: 91 IROC build options

Well i will be keeping the original motor so i can always put it back to stock
and i have a 91 spirit R/T rad so i would not be cutting anything to fit an intercooler in there
