I noticed what appears to be a plug screwed into the back of the block in the place where a turbo motor has the coolant return....Did some '93 TBI cars come through with turbo blocks to use them up? Anybody else seen this?

I thought they all came with the coolant return drilled & tapped ? All 4 of my engine blocks do anyways.
It's the lowest place on the block due to the engine tilt. If you're draining the water out of the system, you remove that plug to get all the water out of the block...
I had a 2.5 tbi block with that and a small freeze plug where the oil drain back tube went.
They all have the plug.
yes youre talking about the same thing. The feed comes from the bottom goes UP through the turbo and returns into the head.
