    wheel offset question

Semi turbo mopar- Does anybody know the wheel offsets on a set of Starion/Conquest wheels like these? Been looking but with no luck. I have a good home for them depending on the offsets.

    Thanks guys.

    Re: wheel offset question

If I had to bet on it, right this second, I'd put the money on them not fitting due to it being RWD, which is usually the safe bet. Something at the back of my skull is whispering 35mm though, which can clear if the tire size and rim width isn't too big. Backspace is more useful to know sometimes, but then you can put your bearings through hell if it moves the weight too far outboard... gimme a sec though, I used to have some links BMed...

    Re: wheel offset question

Hmmm well they're 5 x 4.5" or 5x114.3 so I guess you're thinking minivan, or LS or something, which have a 71.5 hub diameter, where the Starquests are 67.1 so needs bored out for those.

One reference says, "High" offset, and one forum I find "Starquest's were available with a 16x8, 16x9 Sport package. 16x9 rears are -10mm offest and the normal 16x8 rears are 0mm iirc. Not
sure what the fronts are.... " and another guy says "One of the guys I work with has a Conquest TSi and he says that the factory wheels are something like 16x7 front and 16x9 rear." which I think I remember hearing before.

    Re: wheel offset question

Warrior, from what I had found they made a "special handling package" which were 16x8 in the front and 16x9 in the rear. I think I have located a pair of 16x9's for the rear and also a front set from a non "SHP" car which are supposed to be like a 16x7 IIRC. As long as I can somehow get the fronts under the "vehicle" I know I can make the rears work.

When I said offset earlier I meant backspacing. My bad. I usually think of it as the same or use one term instead of the other without thinking about it.

I'll let you take a couple more guesses on the vehicle though... you got half of it right so far.

Front was 36mm and rear was 33mm for the the ESI-R with the sport suspension. Wheels where 16x8 in the front and 16x9 in the rear. Without the sport suspension it was 36mm in the front and 30mm in rear with 16x7 and 16x8s.

If the lugs aren't too far apart you can use wobble bolts.

If I ever RWD a Charger, it will probably end up looking like a Conquest. Man I love that body style.

They kind of have a loose cone on them that can be displaced sideways, they're usually for doing stuff like putting 114 wheels on a 112 pattern... but I don't really see their relevance here.
