    T2 swap will not idle

It wants to idle around 4000 rpm! If i unplug the TPS it will come down some. The wire colors that i have on the harness side do not match the sensor plug.
    Plug colors are
    BLK/ Blue strip
    OR/ Blk strip
    Purple/ White strip

    and the harness colors are
    OR/ White
    Or/ purple
    Blk/ Blue

what about the iac valve/motor wires? Are they connected correctly? Is the valve/motor good?

What about the HEP? Would that make this happen? I unhooked one of the wires to the TPS while it was running and it gave a light for it being out of rang. Maybe it is working fine

I have everything connected right so it is not the TPS or the idle control motor what else can it be? Maybe injectors or HEP?

Vacuum leak somewhere. Did you check and make sure the throttle plate is closed?

Never mined i know better than that. I know that they are both the same and i put a new one in so that cant be it. I just plugged the hole for the idle control motor and that didnt make any diff. Today it is around 1800 rpm. Its getting better? Weird. Im with you guys it has to be getting air but i have no ideas where. I sprayed wd-40 all over and cant find anything.

How about a lot more info on the car, the swap, etc. The info we have is too vague. We need more info so we can help you. Here are a few ?'s. What car, what motor, what electronics, what ECU, 1 piece manifold, two piece manifold, what have you done electrically to change from log manifold T1 to TII car.

I just found the problem. If i unhook the MAP sensor from vacuum it will idle just fine. Will a 85 MAP work on a later computer?

Get one for a turbo car.
Is this a logic module/power module setup?

Was the 85 MAP from a turbo car? Also, did you convert it to the 4 wire AIS? Also, did you move the terminals in the logic module connectors when you did the T-II conversion?

I went to the dodge garage for the info on how to convert my glh-t over to a t2. I added two wires from the AIS and put them in slots 16 and 20 on the red plug but didnt move any of the wires that were already in the red plug.

That is part of the issue. Look up the logic module pinout for the 85 GLH-T and the 86-87 GLHS and you will see a handful of the terminals need to be moved. I know because I had to do this with GLH-T logic module connectors that where spliced into another engine harness.

AFAIK you only need to add the 2 wires for the AIS when converting from a 85 T1 to 86 GLHS electronics in pinouts 16 and 20 on the red connector. You also need the distributor and HEP changed. In addition to changing the TPS connector, that's all the electronics I did on my conversion.

If switching over the the 87 Daytona/CSX computer you will need to do more wire rerouting.

It must be a bad calibration. The car ran fine with the log computer.

I cant do that man. I converted the engine over to a T2 so i no longer have any of the stuff to run that LOG setup on the car. Plus Cindy at FWD has my LOG computer.

I 2nd this. You may want to confirm that the LM you received is for 86 and older (GLHS style), and not the 87 non-L body LM. From what I gather, most LM cals are 87 non-L body. I'm not sure if FWD does the GLHS cals or not. If it IS the 87, you have to move some pins for the MAP wiring or it'll run like crap.
