    balance shaft pick up work in non balance shaft pan??

    just as the title states...will it work??? i seem to be out of 2.2 CB non bs pickups, can i use the pickup i got from the bs 2.5?

    I wouldn't... the pickup is totally different and the pan has that little sump. Asking for trouble here.... don't be like Simon and cheap out

    Cory,
    Whatever pickup you end up using check it for clearance. I've seen many factory pickups that won't even let the pan fit flat on the block! I usually end up tweaking every new one I buy. Heat it up with a torch and bend so I get around 1/2- 5/8" clearance from bottom of pan. I would open up the small rectangular opening as well.

    And as of recent they were placed on NS1

    R/A has them for $45
