It's been done but its a pain in the butt.
the n ewer dash isnt so great, its of much cheaper materials.

well I have plenty of time to plan it out I still have 6 months left in Iraq.
and I know it is a lesser materials I just like cant say why... thanks though
but does any one know of a place with some resources for it ?
also plan on doing a 2.4 swap since my motor is hosed.

There was a member on here who did it..
Only one Ive seen, and he would pretty much have all of the info on how to do it.
The mounting points are different, so you would need to fabricate new mounts.
I thought of doing this at one point in my LeBaron since the 90+ dash looks so much better. However, after seeing what was involved I said forget it. You have to change the dash harness, the mounting locations are different, you have to change the door panels and they don't mount the same either, and you have to change the center console if you want it to look right.
I looked into it and it is one BIG headache.
My friend has done it and I am going to. Dash is a direct bolt in. You need to use the engine wiring harness with it, since you are going 2.4, I dont see this as an issue. the center console has a mounting bracket under it that is welded to the floor. you will need to drill out the spot welds and use it. There are enough small things that you will need that it would be easiest to get another car, but in a nutshell thats the swap.
I believe russ from chicago SDAC chapter has a later dash in his 86. I don't know his screen name here tho.
