    Suspension swap and alignment

So I want to switch from my stub control arms on my 87 Shelby Z to the Stamped Dual Pivot control arms/crossmember from a slightly newer shadow. I plan on changing the struts LATER (I don't have a second vehicle to let the car be down yet). Can I swap the crossmember and control arms without needing an alignment?

You can avoid the alignment but your tires won't last very long. If don't want to get one, use some string/rod/tape measure to set the toe.

So swapping control arms and cross member (not struts or hubs/knuckles) would screw up the alignment? I plan on doing an alignment, but not until I have a second vehicle and can swap the struts out.

So just wait until you can swap struts and do it all at once.
