Re: When is a crack between the valves too much

    I shall, thanks.

I haven't started the motor build yet. I'm still beating on the tbi bottom end (light weight tbi rods/pistons, higher compression) with the G head and TII turbo on smec minivan TI electronics. So far at 14lbs of boost its given me a best of 14.01 in the quarter. Two more track days here to see if I can get it into the 13's.... or ventilate something...

Re: When is a crack between the valves too much

After reading the thread about low oil pressure and the impact of cam journals on oil pressure I am having second thoughts about using this head.
    http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...t=oil+pressure
The motor the head came off of had low compression. I picked the car up in that condition. The bearings were in need of replacement (previous owner had rebuilt the motor and there was an extra set of used bearings and an oil pump in the hatch-- it had oil pressure issues for a while I suspect). It also had Ross forged pistons and ARP hardware which are set to go in the newly prepped block. I ended up prepping a different block and starting over rather than trying to figure out what was wrong.
