It has been a consistent driver that has a 100% stock longblock with a couple bolt-ons. Current specs as follows:

3" Dynomax Race Magnum Oval Muffler - stock location
    FUEL INJECTION
    Mopar Performance 42#/hr Injectors
Dale Motorsports Adjustable Fuel pressure Regulator
Stock Fuel Pump and fuel filter that came with the car
    Sunoco 100 uneladed
    ELECTRONICS & IGNITION

2003 Mopar Nats FWD Bracket (Semi-Finals*)
    SDAC-14 Road Course
2004 Mopar Nats FWD Shootout (Semi-Finals*)
    2006 Mopar Nats FWD Shootout
    2007 Mopar Nats FWD Shootout

*I remember one R/U and 2 Semi's might have the years wrong?

And 2010 its ready to go back to Columbus for the 6th time! This year racing "Pro" for the first time, hoping for 13.00's all weekend long!

As the thread title says... this might be the farewell tour year for the car Don't get me wrong, it has been my favorite car for the last decade, old reliable! BUT I have a few other '87 P-bodies that need more attention and space and this one unfortunately has some cancer and some dents and needs a lot of TLC that I'd rather put into another car... So this one might A) become parts to save another B) Quick floor patch and turn into winter duty? C) Sold to someone who really, really wants a project? Who, knows...

These guys weld in new metal. THey do kick --- work. Figure it would be better to patch it up than send it down sh-t creek without a paddle, ya know?

Re: BadAss 87 CSX #751 Clone - Farewell Tour!?

I would love to see the car patched up and driven... if only to keep it on the road. Looks like a sweet car and I would hate to see it leave cause of cancer.
Find a boiler worker. Found they do awesome weld work and really cheap too LMAO!
No bondo for this baby I hope..

Yeah, I hate to do it... but if I can use parts off it to repair a numbered car, it will happen. If I dont need those parts, it will be for sale.

Are you going to look for a clean shell to swap it all into?

How would he be cutting up a numbered car if this car is a clone and he would use this car to fix the numbered cars?

He wouldn't be, but if he decided to go to a large FMIC, or any mods that couldn't be easily reversed on a numbered car. Then he would be cutting up a numbered car. I have a 89 CSX and cant really get myself do any mods to it, because I don't want to cut up a numbered car when a non-numbered car can be found very easily. Thats whats I was talking about. I even went as far on my CSX to drop the back axle out and pull the stock exhaust out in one piece when I went to a 3inch system.

On the same note, I wouldn't think twice about cutting up a 88 CSX-T because they made alot more of them.

*Edit* this is assuming he swapped the drivetrain from this into one of the numbered cars he already said he had, and planned on swapping it all into.

You mean all the crap you did to your ShelbyZ and you'd give up on this car because of some floor pan rust?

Is your history with this car less valuable than a dash plaque?

I wouldnt say give up as much as just wanting to start with a cleaner canvas... I want to build a road course shadow and yes, I could use this one, but would rather use another ES I have to make another CSX clone with. I could use a CSX for that duty but would use a non-numbered car for that...

History? If Only I had a barn big enough to store all the cars I've had history with...
