Well well well look who is back from a long beach vacation spent oogling MILFs.
Could you hurry up and paint the interior so we can get the restored dash in??? I'm dying to see how it looks assembled.

Here's the other piece I finished recently...I cut the hell out of the trunk to lighten it, removed the hinges, the latch, etc. To mount the lid, I used the trunk spring, cut it up and made little sprung slide latches that grab underneath the package tray area. I then removed the lock cylinder, made a mount for a hood pin and ran a hood pin in the back where the lock cylinder was. The car lost another 16 lbs, the trunk latches perfectly and it cost me nothing more than fair market value of one used hood pin. Plus, I think GRM will dig it.
Scott...Post pics of the interior pieces you worked on.

Heyyyy, red with white and orange flames
Trunk mod rules, nicely done Maybe run a thin bead of paintable caulking (caulking/Caulkin woah, meant to be) right at the edge of where you did all the triming, it's fast and doesn't weigh nearly as much as bondo and when it's all painted, might earn you an extra point or two at the GRM show judging
EDIT: Dammit, Carroll beat me to the joke Rotten kids, if it weren't for him I'd have gotten away with it...

... i think GRM will like it too!
Better weigh your car when it is race ready so we can see how light you've gotten it by then.
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
Nothing but Rustoleum's finest for the Aries....
No flames on this one. The paint is going to be a bit more simple, but it will very much have an "in your face" type look to it. Once it's done, I'll get some pictures up! :-)
There's lots of finish work to do on the trunk still. I have to grind/sand/file a lots of edges. Most of it has been untouched since it's surgery.
Looks great Scott!
That's the plan. One of the locals just picked up a set of corner scales. We'll be using them once the motor is back in it.
Oh wow! Ill be really interested to see the weight breakdown with those! One of the locals just picked up a set of corner scales. We'll be using them once the motor is back in it.

This is definitely not a daily driver.
