    Blue racer cam ?

    Found this on Craigslist . Ever heard of Blue racer?

    1989 FWD Turbo Caravan-2.5 TIII, GT35R, auto, a/c, cruise, pwr windows/locks, fully loaded with interior and ran with full exhaust. RETIRED FOR A FEW YEARS! 12.57@104 :O)

    Those have very close published spec's to our TBI cams published spec's ... a few degrees different opening events basically. 4* less overlap as well.

    If the cam is going into a stockish set-up and is "priced right" new, what the heck, I'd get it. Better than using a JY "not sure what I got" cam.

    I have one, and measured it in the car. It's not as good as a TBI cam, but maybe nearly as good as a stock turbo cam. It's got 0 overlap. The one I had was about 0.01" less lift, too. I think I still have it. It's certainly for sale if someone wants it.



    Hmm, after looking at the pic, mine might be a different 'Blue Racer Cam'. Mine has the P/N CS-751

    And it worked. Can't say with any certainty it made the car any faster or slower as I did no real scientific testing with it. But it worked fine.

    if i remember correctly tbi cams are good up to 20psi right. when is a stock turbo cam used/good for?

    They say TBI to 20 psi but no one has done any of that kind of testing for a few years.
