    Steering rack

Did the Saginaw fast ratio rack come on anything other than the Shelby Charger? My SC needs a rack, and every place I've looked, they're no longer available. Is there another car (other than L body as those are hard to find in the JY here) that I can grab one out of?

Nope, SC is its own unique size, others cars did have them but they won't fit.

I think we are saying the same thing, so correct me if I'm wrong.

If I'm not mistaken all of our cars came with Saginaw racks. Most of the turbo cars got the quick ratio rack.

Since the L body rack is specific to the L body cars you would have to use an SC or GLH rack.

I had the quick ratio rack on my GLHS rebuilt through Napa.

    Re: Steering rack

I was able to find a GLH rack at Auto Zone for about $150, it is the same rack used in the SCs. It feels a little twitchy during sweeping turns. The power assist is so strong that I can turn the wheel lock to lock without stressing my pinky finger at all; it would be nice with a little less. In the end I wish the seal hadn't blown out of my old rack.
