I have fuel and spark...no start

Do these cars have ballast resistors like the old Mopars? I'm manually running the fuel pump and have fuel and I have spark out of every wire, but, this car will not start at all.

I haven't touched anything other than plugs and wires since its done this...and, it was doing this before I even changed those things.

    Anyone have any idea?

    1985 Omni GLH carb.

Have you checked to make sure the cam timing is right and that you haven't broken or stripped teeth off the belt?

So long as you have spark going to the right cylinder, fuel, air, and compression you should be able to get it to run like crap at the least.

Well...got it running. Loosened the distributor and turned it a little and it came right to life. Maybe the timing wasn't right in the first place?

I still have to figure out why my fuel pump won't turn on by itself, but, at least I've heard it run.

    Now...for my new(rebuilt) 5220 non-feedback carb

Sounds good. Once you have it running everything gets a little easier from there.

Yeah...I'm looking forward to it. Knowing now that the stock CR was 10:1 (owner's manual says it), and that the head has been milled some more along with a very thing head gasket...she ought to rip...kinda...haha.

Then, once all that gets going good, then its supercharger time (Don't worry, I have a resurfaced 782 head and a head shim for when that comes along...haha.)
