    [non-TM] need advice on this turbo(s) - T2/T3

    Hi folks,

sorry for this non-TM-related thread, dunno if i will get deleted or moved to some other subforum..
anyways, got a project car here, a '86 Fiero, it has the 2.8 60° V6 and was given a quarterassed job of (bi-)turbocharging it. The plumbing and headers were done somewhat nicely, but that's about it. The jerk just did a "swingvalve delete" (see pic) and so i'm looking to purchase a set of swingvalves and WG+cans..

The problem is i only know one thing of these Garrett Turbochargers, which is the compressor side A/R of .47 .. From the size i'd guess they are somewhere in the T25 or maybe T28 range, but i'm not sure at all!

    Here are a couple pics:

Would a swingvalve from a T3 fit here as well, and are all T2 swingvalves the same? Hoping to get some more info on those turbos soon, just thought i'd ask the pros

Thanks in advance for ANY input!

i'd guess maybe a bit more tq throughout the band, maybe about 20-30hp more at top.. i'd imagine without a swingvalve (open wastegate) the turbos are just kinda free-spinning, for about 3 psi or something??
also, as far as i can tell it has no additional mods done to account for fuel or engine management i'm thinking so far it has only been saved by the boost limit (no/open WG) and the stock vac. ref. FPR and some extra fuel when in PE. probably backed down some timing, but just a wild guess again.
looks like a plumber or someone else with typically limited car/engine knowledge did the install (no offense to you plumbers!) it got beautiful welds and plumbing, but that's about it..

    anyone on the swingvalve compatibility??
