    87 omni

I'm done with my 86 daytona. The rust is just too bad and it's been in a few accidents in it's life. My plans are to transplant my powertrain into the omni when I pick it up.
Here is a breakdown of the setup i'm going to do.
    86 2.2 block
    .020" over wiseco pistons
    t2 rods
heavily ported, big valve swirl head
    some kind of big cam
    holset hy35
    big ole intercooler
    big plenum intake
built automatic with RMVB and high stall TC.

Teardown of the daytona. The engine already has the wisecos and t2 rods in it. It did burn a little oil after I rebuilt it, I think it was because the guides weren't exactly in spec.

In 45 minutes, it looked like this

I tore the tranny down because the 2-3 shift was flaring, and my friend drove it when it was way low on fluid and it wouldn't shift out of first.

looks like the coating wore off the kolene steels.

Aside from a little surface rust on the passenger side, the floors are perfect. The carpet was nasty, damn roaches in it the size of a small dog.

Tore out the dash and all the sound deadening crap. I'm going to sand all the surface rust, prime it, and paint the whole floor with undercoating. I sat in some srt4 seats for the first time. I WILL be getting some for the omni haha. I'm not gonna lie, it looks like a drunken retard welded this car together.
