Cold Air intake for TU header

How is everyone getting this to work? I am right into the brake booster on my csx. I had more room in my GLHS since it has a smaller booster. So the intake I was using no longer works. I also bent the heat core pipes out of the way I am praying it doesn't leak now

Our silicone 90s have worked fairly well in these situations.

    Another Option from ATP Turbo:

After looking at your pics, I'm assuming you're running a T3 cover, which is in the link above. They also have one with a 3" inlet.

Re: Cold Air intake for TU header

It tired two different 90s. One necks down which is the one I used on thbe glhs. The other one is a 3" 90. It won't even start to go on because it is to firm and won't bend inward to get by the booster...

Unforunately Kevin, I've never seen one in person. I just remembered seeing it on their website when I was shopping for intake stuff earlier this year and thinking "I wonder if that would work with a TU header?".

I wonder if ATP has a dimensional diagram you could use for a go/no go decision?

My 90 worked when it was on my GLHS. Like I said the CSX booster is different. The booster on the GLHS sticks out 3 inches from the firewall and on the CSX the booster is 5 inches. The turbo inlet is only an inch and a half from the booster in the CSX.

Again, on an Lbody, but I use a rubber 3" elbow that I happen to have laying around. It came from Turbonetics.

Re: Cold Air intake for TU header

I have TU header and t3t4 turbo in a shadow. Clearance was tight. I have 2 90degree silicone elbows. 1 went from 3-2.5inches and fit with trimming of the housing end and the one on car now was trimmed a little also. I had to trim at a slight angle to point inlet toward middle of car instead of toward battery direction. Hope this helps, as I went through some of that tight fitting aggravation too. I does rub slightly on booster with no ill effect. Of course I have no motor movement either. I'll be at sdac(i hope, if car is ready)and I could show you what I did. I'm not using the 2.5-3 elbow if you want me to bring it. I got all of my multi-layer silicone from E-bay stores. I paid $20. shipped for the 3inch elbow.

Exactly what I thought too. I just used a 4"x3" 90 degree elbow and it was done. Fit beautifully.

Have you tried trimming the original hose?

I'd give that a shot because it looks like a really tight 90 but it has a T4 cold side housing with a 3" inlet.
