    1987-91 Daytona headlamp motor question

On the 87-91 Daytonas there are at least 2 different styles of motors that run the headlamps.

The motors are essentially the same, it's the wiring connectors that differ.

    1. 2 wire connector (blue & yellow wire) that at the end of the connector measures 7/8 inches across

    2. 4 wire connector (blue, yellow, green, black wires) connector measures nearly 1 3/4 inches across.

This connector sits in a metal bracket that is bolted to the motor in 2 places.

    They obviously are not interchangeable.

My question is since the part books show only one type for all those years which motors fit what years?

If any of you who own these cars would check to see which type you have and write back with the year you have and which style your car has I would appreciate it.

    I know for sure 87 G-body is 4 wire...

    Could the 2-wire be a J-body part?

And there you have it. I'd guess 88 was the same as 87 so 4-wire 87-88 2 wire 89-91 ?
