That looks pretty awesome. What steel for the manifold? What turbo is that? Twin scroll? The photo makes it look like the exducer of the turbine housing extends into the exit area of the housing.

New header to go with the new turbo?
Yup, new turbo, SS for the header, though I'm going to ceramic coat it (to keep the heat in) anyway. Turbo is a Garrett GTX Gen II 2867R, Tial SS turbine housing, .64 A/R. Brian Slowe is the master behind the design and welding you see. This is way beyond my skill level - which is to keep a rusty old Jeep on the road with a MIG welder - though I plan on getting my hands dirty on the downpipe, also SS that will accept the output of the wastegate and thinking maybe a butterfly dump valve for fun.

With a TIII, I would think that you'd be spooling that turbo very early.
All GTX turbos are ball bearing, IIRC.
I think you'll be quite happy with that turbo, for your around town smiles per gallon goal
And, I feel like my Lebaron is going to need one of those headers in it's life by next year...
