    Exhaust stud help!

I've been driving my car lately and noticed if i downshift and let it rev down when slowing down, instead of pushing the clutch in i smell oil. Popped the hood and noticed some smoke coming from the backside of the motor, i looked down there and noticed the #4 exhaust ports stop stud is gone, it is a stud right? does anyone know the size and pitch of the thread so i can put something in it to bolt it back up tight. Could this be causing my smoke, I highly doubt it but never know, figured its worth asking.

    Thanks,
    Jack

Is it gone or did it break off?

I'm having a similar problem with my SC. I get a random cloud of smoke from behind the intake manifold. I haven't had a chance to look at it but I was thinking that it might be VC gasket leaking and dripping onto the exhaust. I will be pulling the head sometime in the next couple of weeks and will let you know if I find anything. I have been trying to get the SL back together and running before I start on the SC.

well I found a spare stud on my old head, but the exhaust manifold was shifted to the side of the hole in the head, i tried to pry it over with no luck, as I thought. So looks like i wait till i pull the motor to install the new turbo then put this stud in.
