I am trying an exhaust evac setup to try to relieve some crankcase pressure build up I am getting. Am I going to get the same effects running it from the valve cover as I would from say the fuel pump block off plate?

It depends on how much blowby you are getting. If you are getting alot you can impede the flow of oil back to the crankcase through the oil returns in the head if its in the VC. If its in the block off plate then I would think it would work fine other than sucking oil during hard braking.

the fuel block to exhaust didn't work well for me
the fuel pump sits below the oil drain back in the head for lube purposes, I put an elbow faceing down on mine to help that
but on the gas on the dyno was fine, but decel on the motor (even stationary on the dyno) caused the it suck alot of oil
we put a catch can in between the motor and evac. and was getting a 1/2 quart of oil out during decel of a full rpm pull !!1

What if I somehow attached an oil plate/shield/baffle below the fitting at the fuel pump plate? I'm guessing its sucking oil because it sloshes up high enough to get in the fitting. Is there even enough room for a small baffle to prevent that?
