You think maybe it's just a question of needing more spring pressure, to keep the rocker in place better?
BTW I looked at the cam in my 4.7 heads, and it does look almost round, not much nose at all.
They roller cam i put in my friend big block you swear there was no way the cam would turn straight 90* ramps and it rev to 7500
This is a slider cam shaft. You must use SLIDER rocker with that cam shaft.
Saw a car in a junkyard that has slider cam shaft with roller rockers. The roller rockers has indented the lobs of the cam shaft. You are free to try out for yourself though.
Someone just tried out what slider cam can do with roller rockers.
