I really like what you did with the intercooler! Do you have a part number and a manufacture name of it? And great job on getting it running, I've been watching this build since day 1.

Finished up the intercooler, brackets done and all installed. Yes, now need to do the piping.
Painted a clear on the brackets so they won't "rust" tarnish.

Re: Raffle engine into 1986 factory Turbo wagon

Got the radiator installed. Had to make a special bracket for the one side of the lower support.
Found a hose that fit the lower, maybe L body one. It was one I had on the shelf.
The upper stock hose is too short and not the correct size on the radiator end.
I am working on that issue right now.

Jay, for one thing at least twice the weight, which one has better heat transfer could be debateable. Should have zero overheating issues with this heat exchanger arrangement.
    Looking good Johnny, bout time!!!

Because I have an aluminum one.

Got the upper hose thing figured out.

    Got the belts on.

    Started the intercooler fab.
Now need to figure out where the heater hoses connect to…..

Sure todd cause the extra 20lbs is going to kill it. Might cool the same once it's all shrouded in. But the air is just going to blow right around that thing. I could understand if he was running a T2 intercooler or hoses going on the side, but if you're doing a FMIC and running the hoses under the rad support I don't get it.

Another reason is because I had it. Been sitting here for a year or so, may as well use it.
    ".."...............and it was new!

I can understand that logic a bit. THough I think I would of sold it and gone the T1 rad way and pocketed the profit

Re: Raffle engine into 1986 factory Turbo wagon

Throttle cable in my wagon is for a T-1, it will not work with this throttle body.
Details that slow progress. Now I guess I need to search for a 87 and newer T-2
parts car. Might be hard to find.

But did get the cooling system all together and water in it.
Found a 5/8" heater hose with two 90 degree bends just where I needed them.
Just went down their "formed" hose aisle and there it was…perfect.

V6 and 88 and later T1 cars will have a throttle cable that will work. Just use the matching bracket on the TB for the cable.
