    Found it!
This plug is loose, no sealer on it.

I turned the oil pump with 3/8 air ratchet and oil started pouring out of the plug.
Reached up and turned it out by hand.

Second plug on this engine this way.

Glad to hear you're getting things squared away...those leaks can be a bugger to figure out, especially when the oil is clean and almost invisible!

I went back and looked, I started this project June of 2010.
It has been a off and on project.
I finally got the oil and water to stop bleeding.
It finally moved under its own power today.

Set it up, as it would not idle at all.
Still have many bugs to work out.

Nice! glad to see that it running.

I shudder thinking what would have happened if I had won the motor. I don't have near the knowledge and skills to make it all come together like you have.

    It's in the right hands!

Maybe…..I feel out of my element right now. I am not sure about what to do to finish it.

Re: Raffle engine into 1986 factory Turbo wagon

the idle issues are most likely fuel related.

pumping efficiency at idle rpm changes will most likely fix that.

Was welding this morning (4:30am) and its where I do some thinking.
Light bulb went on in my head…stupid me. It is a 3 bar map cal and I didn't swap in the 3 bar map yet.

I am sure that make a difference.

yeah... that will significantly reduce fuel at idle.

    Added the trans cooler today.
Found a vacuum leak and fixed it.
    Changed to the 3-bar map.
    Now it runs like crap.
