    Re: 89 Shadow, What Wheels?

Dave, you should see if you like the 17" x 7" Stratus R/T sedan 5 spokes that I have on my LeBaron. I can't imagine they would look bad on any car. Plus they are factory!

I think they would allow plenty of room to show off your new larger brakes and do more than enough venting!

Guys, they are the larger bolt pattern, so van owners with the larger bolt pattern can have them.

Good looking out, I didn't want anyone finding something they didn't expect. I forget the hub depth number I came up with that we need to clear the axles.

Maybe I should just put my larger bolt pattern hubs on,

I like those John, but have yet to see any come up for sale. I've only seen a couple Stratus R/T sedans on the road, they weren't exactly a hot seller.

Was liking the idea of buying new tires and wheels and just bolting them on, but still on the fence, my bank account is more in line with refinishing the pumpers, that's for sure.

Yeah I don't like buying new. Only did that with the Daytona. Had good luck buying aftermarket wheels on ebay and craigslist. Search 5x100.

I got mine from the junkyard! Totalled Stratus R/T sedan FTW! I guess we do have an scewed population of vehicles around here with the Chrysler Plants. I see them somewhat frequently. One of my neighbors down the street from my house in Kokomo has one they drive every day. I know you are looking on line (Craig's List, E-Bay, etc.) but maybe a trip to the yard that has a decent inventory and/or has the ability to run a locator search for you. I can get you the Chrysler part number...0WG00PAKAA. You never know unless you look!

I'm all over craigslist, have an RSS feed on my browser for a 5x100 search for a month or two now, lots of choices but lots of junk out there too, at least in my area it seems. Maybe I'm just too picky and cheap (not always a good combo)....

    Re: 89 Shadow, What Wheels?

Late to the party as always.

If you like the Enkeis don't not get them on account of me having them. We live miles apart and at the very most our cars will be in close proximity once a year. I know the "fun" of trying to find just the right wheel so if you see something you like then giver. That being said I think the Enkeis worked out well because they are very squared and chunky, much like the lines on the P-bodies. So I think keeping away from anything that has large radius edges is a plus. Other variations I think would look good are the Enkei Falkans, RP03 or RP05 (though these get pricey), and I really like the 5-Zeigen stuff. The Fn01r-Cs would look awsome I think. I should also mention that I think 17s are a perfect size. Not too much rubber but still not harsh on the bumps.

Thanks DJ, I like these a lot too, they are a bit on the heavy side, but I like the look, and they remind me a bit of old school Torque Thrust wheels. The fact that they only have one bolt pattern on them is nice also, kind of turned off by the one size fits all look of the 10 hole universal pattern wheels.
