It's time for the annual Neon get together at the home of the Neon, Belvidere IL, open to all Neons.

Junkyarding at LKQ in the morning and Newville in the afternoon

Thurs, June 17:
Swap meet and cookout at Belvidere Park
9:00 AM Dyno day at Boomba, $70 for 3 pulls with wideband and boost, Free MS or RRFPR tuning

Fri, June 18:
Car Show and cookout at Rock Cut State Park

Sat, June 19:
Drag Racing, Great Lakes Dragaway
Gates open 8:00 AM
No pre-registration required

Autocross, Route 66 Raceway
Registration ends at 8:15, be there EARLY
Pre-register at http://scca-chicago.com/solo/index.html for discount off entry fees and a guaranteed spot in the grid. Entry is $50 including weekend SCCA membership if you pre-register, or $55 if you register on-site.

There are not many car conventions that have a salvage yard expedition on their official itinerary.

Forgot to mention, they'd be happy to have any FWD Mopar show up, doesn't have to be a Neon... However, only Neons are allowed to participate in the Drag Racing event... Other cars can go and participate in the Test'n'Tune, but like I said, only Neons in their official bracket race.

I'll be going to the Dyno Day, Car Show, Drag Race, and Autocross with my Turbo Sebring.

I'm pretty sure Karl (Dodge Aries K) is going, but not sure what car he's taking.

Don't know who else from here plans on going.

There are not many car conventions that have a salvage yard expedition on their official itinerary.

Junkyarding...seems like a bad idea when there may be 50 people at a JY, all looking for that elusive gem of a parts car sitting there and everyone wants the same stuff.

Yeah its not any fun,been there done that,whats funny is they all go together,know what people paid for the stuff then buy it at a higher price later.

I think its alot like SDAC,alot of sitting around in parking lot between events,drinking until th wee hours of the morning.Good times!
