    Nuts and Bolts

I removed my strut tower brace temporarily to get it powdercoated, since there was a bunch of surface rust on it. (The machinist who made it did a crappy job of painting it.)

While I have it disassembled, I want to replace all of the nuts and bolts. Where can I go to get new hardware like that? Lowes and Home Depot carry similar hardware, but I don't think it's the type of stuff you can use on a vehicle, especially if it's going to be under heavy stress (like a suspension component).

NAPA should have what you need.

You can buy just nuts and bolts there? This was a custom strut tower brace, so I can't give them a vehicle part number (although I suppose I could for the three bolts on top of each strut tower).

Yep, they have loose nuts and bolts there in different grades.

That, or you can buy them here:

    http://www.boltdepot.com/Catalog.asp

They'll have whatever you in what grade you want, metric or standard, all styles of heads, whatever length you want, and you don't have to buy in bulk. I've bought from them before.

Sweet. That place has an awesome selection. I don't see any equivilent to the little black philips head trim sheet metal screws used for the interior though. What do people use for replacements for these that look original? Just curious.

About 3/4's of the way down the page. $6 for 100

I also second the junkyard option. I've got boxes full of all the little trim screws, plug caps and other interior stuff. all of it free from the yard.

they can get everything under the sun plus more, we used to get all our 'universal hardware' from them at a few dealerships I worked at. Im sure whatever you want will be no problem for them.

also if you are doing any kind of metal work, grinding sanding, cutting, etc. Dressel is right around the corner.

honestly though just strut bolts and stuff I dont see any problem with it being grade 5 hardware
