I don't see why that gearset wouldn't fit in a 520/555 case. I recall a guy with a really nice GLHS in the northeast...Marcus in CT maybe...that had Cliff Ramsdell build a 525 with a 555 input shaft and speed gears in his 525 case. The counter/cluster shaft is the only variable from what I'm thinking.

You can put those straight cut 525 gears on a 520 or 555 intermediate shaft, inside a 555 case…

Man this is good to hear! I know the 525 I was running for years held up fine in the stock case, but I was probably living on hopes and dreams to think it would hold up any longer. I heard a rumor that Dave Tekampe was always sitting close by with a shovel and a bucket to pick up the leftovers once the case gave way. Hahahaha

Another upgrade coming as well, just ordered an electric power steering unit to mock up fitment so I can order a kit from epowersteering.com.

More to come as I get it ready or test!

I'm sure it's in this thread, but I couldn't find the info. What power distribution setup did you end up going with? Have you evaluated the Littelfuse units yet? I'm tempted to put together something with these.
