I bet it was quite the sound when that thing went. That must have been a lot of energy released at once.

Love the wheels. Are they big bolt pattern? If so, what are you doing to go to that?

They are 5x4.5. Going to run the minivan hubs on the front, should just be a swap from the 5x100 ones I have in there now since the car has the Daytona knuckles (91 I think). The rear, well I think the Concorde spindles I had machined down will work if I drill the threads out of the mounting holes. See, the 5x100 spindles are just drilled holes, not threaded, so you bolt the spindle to the rear axle. On the Concordes, they have somewhat of an independent rear suspension where the brakes bolt to the spindle, which is a molded piece of steel that attaches to the rear shock. Since I'm turning these into spindles like our cars, I won't need the threads in the holes. If that doesn't make sense, I'll finish what I'm doing with the holes, get the brakes mounted and take some pictures. But overall I don't see any issue with this. There is more than enough room to drill the holes out and be able to use the bolts that hold the stock spindles on without clearance issues from what I can tell. I'll be finishing this up by the end of the week, so at that point I'll know if I'm right or not.

Got the hubs in today and the axles fit fine. Going to pull one hub off, install the new one and do a test fit on the front. Crossing my fingers!

Ok, got some pics of the front wheel mounted. Worked as expected! Took all of about 15 minutes tops to get the wheel off, remove the hub, install the new one and remount everything. Clearance is great, so it seems. I haven't driven the car to see how the travel affects the fender lip and it may be close, but if it hits at all, it will be minimal and only hit the plastic inner lining I think, I think. I did take a picture of the front gfx piece and it does clear that as well as not hitting the transmission. Running 225/35-17 on a 17x8 rim with 35+mm ET for anyone looking to go wide on an L-body. This combo is only like .1" larger than stock, btw.
I MAY have run into a snag on the rears. Seems the parking brake cable area on the Concordes is up top while the 5x100 ones are down low. Because it's up top, it's hitting the rear axle some towards the front of the top of the axle where everything bolts together. The good is, I think it will only require removing very little of this area (if I have to go this route). The bad is, I'd have to remove some of the rear axle and that at some level worries me. To be honest, there isn't THAT much metal up there, but it will weaken the area some. I could and would get it welded up at some point, but the fact that it has to be done, ugh. The other alternative I'm going to check is using the backing plate for the 5x100 rear disc with the 5x4.5 hubs and see if I can marry and pair up the parts. Test fitting seems to be that it's too tight, but I haven't gotten a good fit yet because the 5x100 backing plates have too small of a hole for the 5x4.5 spindle, so it will require cleaning up the one I'm using as a test. More to come!

225/35r17s are going to offer ridiculous handling in an L body. We're going to need some plastic to lay down in the car before I go for another ride.
I think you are really going to like the performance of the yokohoma's. They ride really well and handle pretty darn well
lol We'll see if I let you in my car!
I think so too, although I've only ever run Toyos and they did well. I'm just glad they are pushed out like I want them.
If I can get the rears done by the end of the week, I'll be doing good. Still working on the rear bracket setup. Doing some test fitting, the small bolt pattern brake brackets will work, but the rotors are smaller AND the spacing between the rotor and the brake bracket is REALLY small, like millimeters. I could probably put a spacer between the hub and the rotor, like 1/8" is all I need I think. But even as it sits, there is still tons of room for the caliper to slide back and forth. My friend has some 5x4.5 spacers, so I'm going borrow them and see if it will work. Maybe I'll see if I can find a Chrysler rear brake rotor that's 11" and 5x4.5. Anyone know of one?
I'm attaching this for posterity. There really wasn't much to the swap, but this made it really easy. Unbolt 4 bolts from the back, remove the old one, pop in the new one and there you have it.
Also weighed the wheels. Stock 205/50-15 with Centurions, 36.5. Enkei 17x8 with 225/35-17s, 36.5.

Yeah I ran across one and decided to strip it of all its goods since I'll never see one again.
I just measured the small bolt pattern rear rotor, 11 5/16", which based on what I've found is 11.45", which is what the one on the AutoZone site showed, (11.4x). That JUST may work! The only issue may be the e-brake drum, but like I mentioned I will have to go pick one up and see if it work.
Thanks for the information George, this may allow for an easier conversion with a mixed bag of parts.
D'oh! .31! Man, people need to calculate better! Hmm, that is .1" difference with the AWD caravan rotor. Going to be close, I'll get one tomorrow.

Alright, got the brakes put together, new seals really. Everything is ready to put on, just got to get the backing plate dilemma figured out, i.e., which one to use and the amount of effort required. I think the small bolt pattern bracket will work, so we'll see.

Well the AWD rear rotors have too deep of a drum for the brakes. They are also just a TAD too large and just about hit the arms that support the brake and pads, but nothing a little grinding wouldn't have taken care of. May have to just bite the bullet and modify the rear axle, although I don't look forward to doing that.
But on the brighter side, they called about the personalized tag and I just picked it up and it's on the car. Now, just need to get the wheels straight so I can show off the wheels and the tag....not that anyone around here would care.
