This is the wastegate/swingvalve I'm using. I ported the hell out of it, and enlarged the valve opening. it is a nice piece.

A W/G is a W/G, plain and simple. Whether internal or external, If the set-up is creeping, there is Not enough flow through the W/G to control boost.

The only exception would be a system making enough HP that the W/G puck was too small to allow the proper size of W/G hole for the amount of exhaust that needs to be bypassed in order to control boost

That is the problem with my combo (WG puck/hole too small).

Oh, I'm not doubting you, Warren. Not at all! I was talking out my cheek as to why some people dislike internal WG's. Me...externals look/sound cool, but unless totally needed I say stick with internal. Simple!!

Nah, not dual's like you. Typically it's the downpipe and the external WG dump. I'm thinking what you said is in jest anyway. Still doesn't matter because yours is still unique...I don't think I've ever seen it done before.

Warren himself states part of the problem. To maximize the internal wastegate he needed dual downpipes because he doesn't have room for a diesel downpipe hah.

I don't know what the white undercowl stuff is. Warren enlighten me! Everything else is obvious/speaks for itself.

Ok, I will tell you but no one else...The aluminum cowl cover's primary purpose is to hide the NOS bottle, and the round holes with screen are loud speakers that broadcast big un-muffled V8 sound.

I am well aware that ULTIMATALY an external WG would be the best possible set-up, but I chose not to for four reasons, no five.; First, they are over priced, they are too heavy, they take up valuable space behind the engine that I don't have, I can more than meet my HP goals with internal WG (I think), and Five, I like to try different stuff.
If it turns out I'm wrong, I will just install an External.

I had that one before. I really liked it. Did you make sure the flapper shaft wasn't too tight or too loose in the bore? That's the only issue I had with that wastegate once. The flapper shaft got stuck. I took it all apart, cleaned and honed it, and never had the issue again.

I can't tell if you are serious or joking....but yeah....dual exhaust out the hood (one exhaust outlet and one scream pipe) ALL THE TIME!! At least around here. I don't mind the look to much as long as it's not called a "street" car.

Yeah, the exhaust-out-the-hood thing has been going on for a while. It is basically the next step in evolution of short exhaust...out the front fender was the hot thing not too long ago. For pure race only...ok, sure, I guess. In your case, Warren, I think you have a valid reason.

My personal take is that out-the-hood exhaust should be limited to demolition derby/figure-8 racing and tractor pulling. I'm waiting for somebody to munch something in their engine at speed and blow oil, coolant, and engine parts all over their windshield.

This. I can't believe there is no NHRA rule against it for this reason. I couldn't even imagine a blown headgasket.

I thought long about that scenario and came to the conclusion it would be far safer to puke up the side of the windshield, than under the tires.

Enter the dual downpipe. Spinning end to end down the track blind :P

I have not seen many actually aimed towards the drivers needed visual space. I don't think people want visual impairment even without failures.
